Standing in the lobby, she told me her story.Ĭamille* (name changed for privacy) was raised by a single mother. It was a kind of moment that I hope we all have the opportunity to experience. It was an ‘aha moment’ that made me forget about the time and my wet shoes. In the dry lobby I thanked her for coming down three flights to open the door. I could hear the signal but the door wouldn’t unlock. I was late, wet and annoyed. Between the rain and holiday traffic I was late. I arrived at the street door and repeatedly buzzed the receptionist to unlock the door and let me in.
That evening, I was scheduled to make a presentation at a client board meeting. I have my exam after 2 days, I am sure I will pass with flying colors.It rained hard one night last week. Now not only can I pay my own bills but also Iâm getting amazing gifts, get to show off my clutch to my friends (lol) and for the first time from my own savings as a token of love and gratitude I bought my brother a watch and “The Magic by Rhonda Byrne”.Īll this happened after a few months of reading and watching “The Secret”, my younger brother introduced me to The Secret. I was like “I cannot believe, is this happening to me”. All of this happened in such a short time that I was amazed, my brother told me about how I used to fancy those things. Then came my birthday, it was a usual day until that evening when I got the message from my brother about a surprise waiting for me, I was not too excited but when I reached home and saw the package having that same clutch I used to fancy, I was speechless. Then my family got an invitation to attend a marriage so now I had to buy some new clothes.that same evening I got one of the best dresses I can imagine and also some hair accessory, wow !! I was so happy, it is hard to describe in words. I was like what!! Anyway I was thinking may be in future. When I checked the price on internet it was too costly for me. One day I was telling my brother about the clutch my friend has got, I liked it so much that I couldnât stop thinking about it. I was not too satisfied but my life was changing for sure. But I did not realize that The Secret is making all this happen.
Then next day I got the new phone, a gift from my dad and some new clothes. After a month I applied to some job out of boredom, I got selected with handsome pay, this was my first job. I prayed to god and the universe and then let it go. It had most of the things I fancied about.

Surely I made the list but did not know how to get that money. One day I made my list of “what to buy for myself” and saved it on my desktop. I can start my story with last year scenario, living with my parents and depending on my father to pay by bills.
